Area of Operation: Geriatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Pain Center
We are Uppsala University Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. In addition to our role as a regional hospital, we provide highly specialized care to two million people in Central Sweden. There is always something happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is celebrated as a hero of life. We believe that honesty lasts the longest, and it is no secret that we need to grow our team. As a colleague, you will experience much. Tough challenges but also fantastic events, strong community, and support from colleagues and fellow humans. Welcome with your application and become a part of us.
Our Operations
The area of geriatrics, rehabilitation, and pain center consists of four sections: Health Professions, Pain Center, Geriatrics, and Rehabilitation Medicine. All sections are characterized by well-functioning interprofessional collaboration, something we are very proud of. We want you to feel welcome with us; as a newcomer, you will be offered guidance, an introduction program, and professional networks. We are experts in rehabilitation but always strive to improve. A significant focus is placed on research and progress, both within and outside the hospital. As an employee, you are an essential part of this; it is natural for you to want to develop and drive the operations forward. The physiotherapists at Uppsala University Hospital work across many different departments throughout the hospital and meet patients in both inpatient and outpatient care. As a physiotherapist, you will encounter people in many different situations, and you can expect a varied and meaningful job with stimulating tasks.
Your Mission
We are now looking for a physiotherapist interested in working in cardiac rehabilitation. This role involves departmental work on both our cardiac ward and cardiac intensive care unit, as well as outpatient work. Your tasks in the department will include assessment and early rehabilitation of patients with heart-related issues, and in the outpatient clinic, you will meet patients where you will perform walking tests, submaximal cycling tests that we have recently started conducting with simultaneous ECG, and you will also lead group training for heart patients.
Your Qualifications
In the departments, you will work independently but also with colleagues; you will also be part of a large group of skilled and generous colleagues working in surgery and cardiology. You should also be able to prioritize and manage your time as hospital stays are often short, and you will organize your time based on patients' needs, which can vary from day to day.
As Uppsala University Hospital is a university hospital with a mission to conduct healthcare and research, you will also have the opportunity to help develop care for our patients.
We Offer
Two permanent positions with a full-time employment rate of 100%, one position starting on 2025-01-20 and the other on 2024-03-17. Start date by agreement. With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
