Our Operations

Our field of activity includes cardiology, clinical physiology, and thoracic surgery. There is much development and research happening in our area, which is exciting to be a part of!

In ward 50G, we care for patients who come to us acutely with, for example, arrhythmias, heart failure, heart attacks, and angina. We have a high pace of work that can change quickly, but we help each other, support one another, and have fun every day!

Your Mission

As a summer substitute with us in 50G, you will be part of our wonderful team. You will have the opportunity to contribute your knowledge in nursing and work with medical technology. We have clear routines and care about supporting and helping each other.

Whether you are a trained nursing assistant, a nursing student from term 3, or a medical student from term 3, you will be part of the care team consisting of nurses and nursing assistants. If you are a nursing student after term 4, you can work as a nursing assistant, performing regular nursing assistant tasks and assisting a licensed nurse in their work. When performing nursing tasks, you will always work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. If certain tasks require delegation that you have not completed, we will do this on-site. Examples of possible tasks under supervision include admitting acute patients, discharge conversations, documentation in Cosmic, sample collection, participating in rounds, coordination functions, conducting risk assessments and actions, IV placement, catheter placement, and EKG. Other possible tasks that must always be checked and signed by a licensed nurse include medication management, such as mixing IV solutions and administering medications. Sometimes you may also go beyond your care team and support staff as a resource.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, a nursing student from term 3, or a medical student from term 3. You have good knowledge and skills in basic nursing and preferably experience in, among other things, blood sampling, blood pressure measurement, and catheter placement.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who have good knowledge and skills in basic nursing and preferably experience in, among other things, blood sampling, blood pressure measurement, and catheter placement. You have a strong interest in both cardiac care and general nursing. You have a good demeanor and can work both independently and in a team with varying work paces. Furthermore, it is important that you enjoy working with people and have good collaboration and communication skills.

We Offer

We offer you a temporary position for the summer of 2025 or a part-time position with a start date to be agreed upon. We prefer that you can work the entire summer period from week 25-33, and you are welcome to start the introduction earlier. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with a degree of employment that can be discussed.

Taking a position as a nursing assistant during your nursing education is a very good experience for your future career and provides excellent insight into what is to come.
