The Kristianstad area is part of Kriminalvården's southern region and currently includes the Kristianstad prison, located about 10 km south of Kristianstad. Currently, the prison has approximately 145 inmates and 120 employees. We are undergoing a significant capacity increase, and a lot is happening in the area in terms of renovations and new constructions. In a few years, the new Vä prison is expected to accommodate about 600 inmates and have 500 employees. The largest professional group is prison officers, but healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, etc., also work here.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a psychologist within Kriminalvården, you will primarily be responsible for the psychological treatment work at VO Kristianstad (Kristianstad prison and Vä prison) together with other psychologists in the region. The variation in issues and the breadth of tasks make the work diverse and rewarding. There are opportunities for professional development such as supervision, courses, and conferences, and there may also be opportunities for specialist training.
