Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

The health and medical care unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and older who need health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and ordinary housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us this summer, you will play a significant role in meeting patients in both special and ordinary housing as well as in disability services and social psychiatry. You will step in as a reliable substitute or appreciated reinforcement in operations where your expertise truly makes a difference.

As a nurse during the summer in Ystad Municipality, you will:

  • Be responsible for care and medical interventions for patients in special and ordinary housing, as well as in disability services and social psychiatry.
  • Work both independently and together with colleagues to provide high-quality care and support.
  • Assess patients' health status, document care plans, and follow up on treatment interventions.
  • Provide support and guidance to care staff and contribute with your experience and competence.
  • Participate in planning and implementing activities that promote patients' well-being and quality of life.
  • Ensure patient safety and follow applicable routines and guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment through engagement, flexibility, and an empathetic approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is curious about new working methods and enjoys working independently. You have a genuine interest in people and meet each individual based on their needs and wishes. You are confident in yourself and value collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups. Structure and planning are close to your heart, and you can prioritize tasks based on individual needs.

The person we are looking for:

  • Is a licensed nurse.
  • Has a few years of experience in health and medical care (preferable but not required).
  • Has a B driver's license.
  • Is confident in their professional role, flexible, and solution-oriented.
  • Has a genuine commitment to person-centered care.
  • Enjoys a role where you can vary workplaces and assignments.
