As a social worker in the Children and Youth department, you will become part of a team with dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues who truly want to make a difference with the best interests of children in mind. We work closely together, care for each other, and together develop and drive the operations forward.

The Children and Youth department is a small unit with close proximity to partners and decision-makers where you have a great opportunity to influence and conduct development work. We have close leadership and support in everyday life for our social workers. We are a workgroup with great commitment and drive where we lift each other up. Within the unit, there are the Reception group, the Investigation group, and the foster care group. There is a very close collaboration with the Adult unit, LSS, and the municipality's own outpatient care.

We have our own offices in the municipal building Skillingehus in Skillingaryd, just a stone's throw from the station which offers good commuting opportunities by both bus and train. We also offer the possibility to work remotely one day a week, in agreement with the manager. We also have good opportunities for those who want to move to our municipality. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work to investigate the needs of children and youth and follow up on families' situations after decisions on open interventions. In this role, you will work with support from SoL, LVU, and other relevant legislation. We have a close and very good collaboration with the police, field workers, schools, preschools, and our competent outpatient care.

You will have excellent opportunities to develop in your professional role. We have mentorship for those who are new to the job as well as generous professional development. You will receive support in your work through external supervision and close managerial support. Work load measurements are conducted regularly, and each week you have individual case supervision with your manager. We can offer a workplace where it is prioritized to work with a cohesive social service together with both colleagues and partners.

In line with new research results, we invest heavily in training, which both we as employers and employees initiate. We are also part of the Socialstyrelsen's professional journey, which is a collaboration between SKR, Socialstyrelsen, and Regional collaboration and support structures (RSS).

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in social work is a requirement. It is advantageous if you have experience in social services work with children and youth.

You create good relationships with both the children and their parents and good collaboration both internally and externally. It is also important that you can work from your own initiative and have a very good ability to work independently.

Great consideration will be given to personal suitability. You have a structured work approach and find it easy to collaborate with others. You communicate easily in both speech and writing.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

A police record extract must be presented before employment.
