Personal Assistants Needed for Young Woman with ALS

We are currently seeking personal assistants for a young woman with ALS living in Jönköping. Are you a calm, secure, and stable person with a heart in the right place? About the Position:

The client is a young woman with ALS who lives with her husband in a house in Jönköping. In her free time, she has always enjoyed an active lifestyle, traveling around the world, and socializing with friends and family – which she continues to do today as much as possible. The job as a personal assistant involves personal care, medication administration, and support in daily activities and tasks. Our client manages her assistance entirely on her own, which means that you as an assistant need to be good at listening to her wishes and needs. Your main task will be to act as her extended arms and legs whenever she needs it.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a twinkle in their eye and a sense of humor. As a person, you are calm, stable, and you instill a sense of security in the people you meet. You have the ability to listen and sense situations, and you know how to best adapt to them. Experience in care work or similar is advantageous but not a requirement. It is also desirable if you have experience and are comfortable with handling PEG, ventilators, and cough machines. The most valued qualities are your personal traits, your commitment, and how well you and the client enjoy each other's company. You cannot be allergic to pets as there is a dog in the home.
