Social Worker with Experience in Authority Operations for Children and Youth

Nässjö Municipality has a focus goal of providing children with the conditions for a good upbringing. To maintain our strong child perspective, we work with early interventions and collaboration between social services, schools, culture and leisure, and Region Jönköping County.

Examples of this include:

• Home visit programs through the family center
• School social teams where social workers from our reception work in teams with the school to meet children and families at an early stage
• Attendance teams where family therapists work in teams with the school regarding students with high absenteeism and their parents
• Open reception for youth where young people and parents can turn for quick support for substance abuse issues
• Parent support groups in various forms and languages

To best carry out this work and also provide greater opportunities for development, we are organized into three units for children and youth: Investigation Unit, Placement Unit, and Intervention Unit. The units have a close and good collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We at the Investigation Unit are looking for social workers for the groups handling children aged 0-9 years and 7-14 years. Investigating social workers assess children's needs for support or protection, grant interventions through assistance decisions, and follow up on approved interventions. The work is based on both SoL and LVU.

The workgroup has a strong commitment to social issues and the best interests of the child. Working in a team is seen as a strength, and great emphasis is placed on relationship-building and working together with the family.

We have a regular BBIC license and document in Combine. External supervision is included in the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another equivalent education. You have experience in the authority operations of social services, preferably directed towards children and youth. You have good knowledge of the mission of social services and current legislation. Experience with BBIC is an advantage.

As a person, you are meticulous, independent, and have an easy time managing when conditions and planning change in the work.

Since we have a strong focus on collaboration for the best interests of the child, the work involves many contacts, both internally and externally. Therefore, you should have good collaboration skills, be outgoing and positive. You should be able to express yourself easily in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is highly valued. We are looking for someone with a B driver's license.
