Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant requires a high ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done since the individual lacks verbal communication, so having patience and being helpful with communication is part of the daily routine. Work shifts occur both in the individual's home and at daily activities.

We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• wants to work with a 30-year-old male residing in Nässjö
• has good knowledge of Swedish
• is tolerant of pets
• is smoke-free
• has experience with autism
• is physically fit as walking, training, and swimming occur frequently

It is also an advantage if you:

• have healthcare education or have previously worked as a personal assistant
• have a B driver's license

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is a temporary position starting immediately, with an end date in mid-May 2025, which may be extended. The position is approximately 50%. Work shifts are variable from 16:30-07:30 or 07:30-07:30 on weekdays and weekends. Currently, a 6-week schedule is in place. On-call between 00:00-05:30 every day.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Immediatelyaccording to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
