Support Pedagogue/Support Assistant for Disability Care

Description

The Disability Care seeks 1 support pedagogue/support assistant for our housing support group working within the care services of the municipality.

The goal of the initiative is to strengthen the individual's resources to live an independent life and have a functioning everyday life. We work with a pedagogical, supportive, and motivating approach. You will work alongside engaged colleagues and meet users with varying support needs. Scheduled working hours include days/evenings/weekends. A driver's license is required as services are provided throughout the municipality. We are looking for someone who is committed, has good collaboration skills, is interested in development work, is flexible, and has a good attitude. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Responsibilities

To provide support and service according to the user's individual needs and wishes as outlined in implementation plans. You will perform everyday, planned support measures and activities together with the user. The support measures should promote the user's integrity, participation, and be carried out with respect for the user's self-determination. The user's needs should be at the center, and the person's opinions should be actively taken into account. The user should receive support and the right to decide over their life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivating approach in close collaboration with the user's network and other staff. The responsibilities include IT-based documentation and administration.

As a support pedagogue, you will also:

• Support and guide your own and other teams in working with users.
• In collaboration with users and colleagues, identify needs and opportunities for development.
• Work according to solution-oriented pedagogy.
• Be responsible for developing and implementing methods in the work.
• Support colleagues and teams in difficult conversations.
• Support colleagues regarding social documentation.
• Engage in dialogue with the area manager in developing the unit's pedagogical work.

Qualifications

University education or other post-secondary education focused on the disability area, pedagogy, and social work, support pedagogue, social pedagogue, occupational therapist, as well as good computer skills.

Conditions

Approved grades in Swedish.

A B driver's license is required for this position.

You must be able to speak and write in Swedish.
