For our client, a leading global player in product development and manufacturing of advanced technology, we are now looking for a Mechanical Designer – Engine Components.

You will work with high-tech products and advanced materials such as plastic, rubber, lightweight metals, and sheet metal. Together with the team, you will contribute to the development of competitive products that reach the market through series production.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for detailed designs and system integration in the products. You will have the opportunity to be involved from the idea stage all the way to the finished product. Your work will include:

Designing engine components and other mechanical details.
Optimizing designs to meet functionality and cost-effectiveness requirements.
Actively participating in discussions with other departments to ensure the best possible solution.
Working closely with manufacturing units and suppliers globally.
Participating in project work and ensuring efficient product development through collaboration with internal functions such as material labs, verification labs, prototype workshops, and CAE departments.
Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with many ongoing projects.

Qualifications

To be suitable for this position, we see that you have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering or equivalent education.
Experience in product development within mechanics, preferably with molded details.
Experience working in CAD programs, preferably CATIA V5.
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Strong technical knowledge and an interest in developing within mechanical design.

Meritorious

Documented experience working with molded details.
In-depth knowledge of geometric assurance and combustion engine technology.
