About the Role

For many years, AFRY has successfully supported energy producers and distributors. The energy market is currently experiencing its largest growth since Sweden was electrified, and the need for investments in distribution and transmission networks is enormous in the coming years. At AFRY Distribution, we currently have about 50 consultants who are involved in building and developing the future power grid, and we need to grow!

Our assignments can include everything from feasibility studies, planning, and design to completed facility modifications. Projects can take place both under AFRY's management and as hired resources at the client's site. We carry out projects of various sizes, ranging from maintenance, renovations, new connections, or reinvestments. In other words, we have a broad competence that allows us to help both our clients and each other to develop!

At AFRY, you will have the opportunity to grow in the role of Power Consultant, working closely with wonderful and competent colleagues while collaborating with the industry's most important clients. You will have the opportunity to work with design, preparation, and construction, as well as power quality investigations, connections of wind and solar parks, project and construction management, and assignment management. If you are interested in leadership, we would like to see you take on the role of mentor for junior colleagues.

Possible locations include Stockholm, Uppsala, Bollnäs, Östersund, Umeå, Skellefteå, Visby, Halmstad, Malmö, Göteborg, Trollhättan, Norrköping, Linköping, Oskarshamn, Kalmar, Växjö, Hässleholm, Karlskrona, Värnamo, Karlshamn.

As a person, you are flexible, driven, and engaged. You have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and are both structured and analytical. Furthermore, you are an unpretentious team player with a genuine interest in building and maintaining good relationships both internally and externally, with a customer-oriented mindset.

To succeed in the role:

• You have relevant technical education at the high school or university level with a focus on electrical power or equivalent work experience.
• You have at least 3 years of competence and experience in preparation, design, and project management of power grids - alternatively, competence and experience as a connection engineer, documentation engineer, network planner, construction manager, or project manager.
• You have experience in the role of a consultant.
• You speak and write fluently in both Swedish and English, as both languages are frequently used within AFRY and with our clients.
