E.ON is Hiring a Project Designer
E.ON is an international privately-owned energy company. 70,000 employees in 15 countries work daily to develop technical innovations and user-friendly customer solutions for the new energy world. We are the first major energy company to truly focus on future energy solutions through our business areas for smart grids and customer solutions.
Welcome to E.ON – where we drive real change for the climate transition. We take responsibility for a better future through stable and fossil-free energy solutions for people, cities, and industries. We are innovative and bold, while also being empathetic and reliable. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, then E.ON is the place for you.
About Us
In our team, the Local Network Business in Nässjö, we are 15 employees responsible for the local grid in eastern Småland. In total, there are about 30 people at the establishment who work engaged and cross-functionally together with our customers and contractors to build a sustainable society and drive development towards future power grids.
Your Role
We are now looking for a Project Designer who will primarily work on the design of reinvestment, reinforcement, and maintenance projects in close collaboration with project managers, maintenance engineers, and documentation technicians. You will plan and drive projects up to investment decisions and have technical and economic responsibility throughout the projects. The tasks include preparing network investigations, load analyses, technical descriptions, and economic calculations as a basis for the projects and engaging in dialogues with municipalities, contractors, and landowners to coordinate the projects in the best way.
Your Experience
To succeed and thrive in the role of Project Designer with us, it is advantageous if you have a technical education focused on electrical power or electricity distribution, but you may also have acquired this knowledge in other ways. We consider it meritorious if you have prior experience in design, preparation, or electrical work in the field. You will drive your own projects but will be part of a team with extensive expertise in the area that collaborates and helps each other. You likely appreciate order and clarity and also enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. Your contact points are many, and therefore we believe you are good at creating long-term relationships and have strong communication skills. You need to be able to function in smaller groups but also work independently and make your own decisions.
What It's Like Here
We welcome you to a helpful and open team with a supportive culture where knowledge exchange occurs daily and is a prerequisite for us to achieve good results together. The group is characterized by joy at work, curiosity, and inclusion, where we make decisions together and drive our processes forward. Your immediate manager, Christer Björk, believes in a present and inclusive leadership where the team is given the best possible conditions to collaborate. Team spirit is important to Christer, and it is achieved through a pleasant workplace and a desire to be part of the team.
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial to drive the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace, where we hope you will thrive. We work towards a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel well and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include working hours reduction that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
Warm welcome to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is January 27.
