About the assignment

We are now looking for a Senior Test Engineer in Wireless Connectivity for an exciting assignment at the forefront of technology. The role is part of a team working with connected and autonomous products, where stable and high-performing wireless communication is business-critical.

You will work hands-on with gray-box testing of connectivity solutions at module, integration, and system levels. The assignment combines both hardware and software and provides an opportunity to influence future features in autonomous and connected systems.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GNSS, radio, and cellular modules in various environments and hardware configurations

• Verify backend and API communication

• Design, develop, and maintain automated regression tests

• Integrate tests into CI environments and nightly test runs

• Analyze logs, network traffic, and protocols to identify root causes

• Transform repetitive manual tests into scripts and automation

• Contribute to test plans, traceability, test coverage, and release documentation

• Participate in shorter field tests to identify edge cases

• Create and maintain dashboards for test results, coverage, and stability

Qualifications (requirements)

• At least 3 years of experience in testing wireless communication and backend/API flows

• Good testing methodology (ISTQB or equivalent knowledge)

• Practical experience with sniffers, protocol analysis, and log/packet analysis

• Programming/scripting for test automation, preferably in Python

• Experience with CI environments (e.g., Jenkins or equivalent)

• Familiarity with gray-box testing

• Ability to document and report bugs in a structured and clear manner

• Good communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

• Driving license B (field and environmental testing is included in the assignment)

Meritorious

• Experience in testing embedded systems, IoT, or connected products

• Experience with dashboards and test statistics

• Knowledge of scalable test environments and test strategies for connected systems
