Network Systems Technician

Your new job

As a systems technician with us, you will be part of a team responsible for the municipality's network infrastructure. Your tasks will include developing and managing sustainable solutions with quality and compliance with our IT and security solutions. You will ensure that our services meet high security and performance requirements and develop the municipality's network infrastructure. You will work with one of Jönköping's largest computer networks, one of the most modern, serving approximately 40,000 users daily. The role includes providing technical support in projects and procurements related to the field.

The position is located in the Digitalization Department, which is part of the City Office within Jönköping Municipality.

Your qualifications

You who are applying need to have a university degree in IT or equivalent knowledge combined with experience that we consider equivalent. You have several years of experience in IT operations and networks. You have technical expertise in the operation and monitoring of networks (LAN, WAN, Wireless, ACI), configuration, troubleshooting of network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls), expertise in load balancing (F5), and implementation of security solutions in the network area. Since large parts of the network are Cisco standardized, we prefer that you have several years of experience in that area.

As a network systems technician with us, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and development of our network infrastructure. You will be a key person in our team and collaborate closely with both internal colleagues and external suppliers. You have a deep understanding of IT security.
