Test Engineer Wanted for Innovative Handheld Products Lab

Our client, a leading player in technology development, is seeking a Test Engineer for their state-of-the-art lab for handheld products. ABOUT THE POSITION

As a test engineer, you will be responsible for testing and evaluating handheld products in a lab environment, both gasoline and battery-powered, focusing on reliability and functionality testing. You will have a coordination responsibility and be involved in the entire development process, from the prototype stage to the final product in production. The role also includes seasonal field testing, primarily in Sweden but sometimes abroad. You will ensure that the products meet applicable legal requirements and contribute to the development of testing methods to optimize how products are tested and evaluated. The work is project-based, often with multiple parallel projects, which requires you to handle varying pace and quickly switch between different tasks. You will also collaborate closely with several different functions within the company, which demands good communication skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform mechanical testing and evaluation, be responsible for long-term and field testing, and develop testing methods and analyze technical data to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

• Work with mechanical testing and evaluation of products.
• Be responsible for running products in long-term testing and in the field.
• Work on the development of testing methods and data collection methods.
• Work on measuring and verifying the technical characteristics of the products.
• Report and document the technical characteristics of the products.
• Work with statistical analysis and measurement system analysis.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a technical post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Has a technical interest in working practically.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Interest in project management and coordination.
• Previous experience in mechanical testing.
