Junior System Tester at Saab Surveillance in Huskvarna

Responsibilities as a Junior System Tester

As a system tester, you will be part of the Qualification & Integration section – a group of 21 people working with verification, qualification, and integration of avionics systems within aerospace technology. You will work in teams with colleagues who are test engineers, system engineers, designers, and project managers.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing test plans, analyzing system requirements, and transforming them into test cases. You will create test specifications, conduct tests, and document results at the system level. Tests are performed both manually and with the help of programming, primarily in Python.

You will play an important role in ensuring that Saab's systems meet high standards of safety, performance, and quality – which is crucial for both customer and user security.

Examples of Responsibilities:

Develop and analyze system requirements and test plans
Transform requirements into test cases and create test specifications
Conduct tests and analyze results
Write reports at the system level
Work in the requirements management tool DOORS and with test scripts in Python

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across several technical areas and have contact with various parts of the organization, from development to production. The work takes place on-site in Huskvarna.

In the role of System Tester, we are looking for someone who has:

An engineering degree in electronics, software, or physics
At least 1 year of experience in requirements management, verification, or validation
Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Swedish citizenship

It is advantageous if you have:

Experience with safety-critical systems
Programming experience, preferably in Python
ISTQB certification or similar
