Nordanstig Municipality consists of several school locations with a total of about 900 students, with a common middle school in Bergsjö.

Bergsjö School is a K-9 school with approximately 500 students. The adapted primary school grades 1-10 also operates in the same premises.

Together, we work for higher goal fulfillment and a more equitable school. The Swedish National Agency for Education, Umeå University, SPSM, Mid Sweden University, and RUC-X are some of the partners we collaborate with to achieve this.

We strive for equity and the same conditions among the schools, as all students meet at the municipality's middle school. We work for good transitions and a reflective environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop and achieve good results.

About the job

We are looking for a qualified teacher with certification in music who wants to work with our students in grades 4-9. The position can be combined with other subjects.

If you choose to join us, you will be part of a team with several teachers who teach the same classes as you. You will also be part of a subject team where you plan together and exchange ideas and thoughts.

The daily work includes all tasks that are part of a teacher's assignment. Individually and together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and ensure high-quality teaching that creates context and challenges students at the right level. You will, together with the school's staff, contribute to collegial learning.

Personal qualities

As a person, you have good leadership skills, understand people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge, and can adapt your teaching accordingly. You involve students in the planning and can make visible and further develop students' learning processes. You reflect on your work in a systematic way, both individually and together with your colleagues, and are committed to creating a safe learning environment with study peace, trust, and respect.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
