Bergsjö School is looking for a Swedish Teacher (grades 7–9)

About the position

You will teach Swedish, preferably in combination with art, in grades 7–9 and be part of a dedicated team. We are implementing a co-teaching model primarily in Swedish and mathematics, which means you will work closely with a colleague to create structure, security, and higher achievement for the students.

For the right person, there is also the opportunity to combine the position with a lead teacher role focused on school development.

• Is a certified teacher in Swedish for grades 7–9
• Has a strong interest in teaching development and collaboration
• Wants to work in a systematic and professional learning environment
• Is confident in your teaching role and believes in every student's ability to succeed
• Preferably has experience in leading development work (for the lead teacher role)

About Bergsjö School

We are an F–9 school in the heart of Nordanstig, with about 500 students. Our operations also include Adapted Primary School 1-10. Here, you will encounter a high level of engagement among staff and a clear ambition to make a difference – every day.

Nordanstig Municipality consists of several schools with a total of about 900 students with a shared upper secondary school in Bergsjö. Together, we work for higher achievement and a more equitable school. The Swedish National Agency for Education, SPSM, Mid Sweden University, and RUC-X are some of the partners we collaborate with to achieve this.

We work for equity and the same conditions between schools, as all students meet in the municipality's upper secondary school. We strive for good transitions and a reflective environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop and achieve good results.
