The emergency department is the hospital's gateway, and this is where the majority of patients begin their stay. At the emergency clinic, we primarily take care of surgical, orthopedic, medical, and infectious patients, but also those patients who arrive with emergency lights from other clinics such as women's, children's, eye, and ear, nose, and throat clinics. The emergency clinic collaborates with most clinics at the hospital, the ambulance service, the police authority, the correctional services, the social services, other hospitals, and home care in nearby municipalities.

If you want to be part of our journey to rebuild our secretariat, this is the right job for you. We are now looking for a medical secretary to join our team! The current workgroups include emergency doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and administrators. You will work in collaboration with other medical secretaries at the clinic to optimize the work.

For those who wish, there are several different workgroups to engage in together with other professional categories, and within the secretary group, there are also opportunities for various areas of responsibility. We also have a clinic day once a year where we invite both external and internal speakers and work on development.

As we rebuild our secretariat, the introduction will be tailored based on previous experiences and will take place in collaboration with other secretaries at the clinic. The position is a full-time temporary contract for 6 months, with a start date according to agreement.

Together with competent colleagues, you will be responsible for the administrative flow at the clinic. Your tasks mainly consist of medical documentation with journal writing and diagnosis classification in the journal system Cosmic, but there are also other administrative tasks that will be adapted according to the needs of the operation. Digital development is rapid, and new tasks may arise in the future for healthcare administrators.

Our workplace is varied, and there is a need to be flexible and proactive in solving and managing the situations that arise. The work can be demanding at times and requires resilience to stress.

We are looking for someone who

• Has an education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80 credits (KY) or 400 credits (YH), or equivalent medical secretary training
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing

It is an advantage if you

• Have training in diagnosis classification
• Have work experience from an emergency department
• Have experience with the journal system Cosmic
• Have work experience in diagnosis classification
• Have good knowledge of English in speech and writing
