Every year, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency makes 21 million decisions that affect people's lives and the entire society. We disburse approximately 260 billion kronor each year. It is everyone’s tax money that we manage. It is a great responsibility. Therefore, we think innovatively and use the latest technology to simplify and improve, develop and deliver IT services for the Swedish social insurance system. Welcome to one of Sweden's largest IT departments.
Decisions and disbursements are made digitally, and therefore the mission of the IT department within the Swedish Social Insurance Agency is crucial. The IT department consists of about 1400 employees and several hundred consultants at eight IT offices in Sweden. To lead the IT department, there is a CIO Office where business and financial management, legal IT expertise, and the office for coordinated secure state IT operations are gathered.
Business transfers, presentations, and workshops As a business developer within the CIO Office, you contribute to the organization's various missions. The role involves close collaboration with many different parties in the organization. There is ample room for personal initiatives for improvement. Therefore, you should be pedagogical, see patterns, be able to visualize complex contexts, enjoy communicating, and master the Swedish language very well.
Your tasks will largely involve developing society together with others, by collaborating with our IT department, other parts of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and other government agencies to contribute to simplification and movement towards set goals.
Your assignments will range from streamlining IT operations to contributing to responses to the Government Offices. In this role, you will gather information, analyze, compile, and recommend before decisions, as well as implement, follow up, adjust, and contribute to organizational learning. You will gain good insight into how to conduct an efficient IT operation, but also how the interaction between government agencies and politics works. You need to be convincing, persistent, and unpretentious to achieve results and have the ability to choose the right working methods to successfully lead without being a manager.
