About the job as an accounting assistant 

In your role as an accounting assistant, you will be responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable for Heavy Vehicles and work with the sales administration of our vehicle transactions. 

You will, for example:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing payments 
  • Perform reconciliations of various accounts
  • Ongoing accounting 
  • Reminder and collection management as well as follow-up on disputed invoices
  • Draft purchase agreements 
  • Make vehicle purchases 
  • Register ownership changes and vehicle registrations
  • Manage financing and perform credit assessments 

About the finance department

In your role as a finance assistant, you will be employed by Berner's parent company and become an important part of a team of seven economists who collaborate on the group's finance-related tasks. 

You and your colleagues in Sundsvall work towards Berner's heavy vehicles and are located close to the operations in bright and nice offices above the workshop and customer reception. You are a smaller workgroup of three employees, which means that you help each other with all tasks during peaks and valleys, while also having the strength of belonging to a larger finance department with colleagues in Östersund. 

We are looking for you who... 

To succeed in this role, you need to have a finance education at least at the high school level or equivalent, as well as a few years of experience from finance-related tasks. It is advantageous if you have experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable.

As a person, you are social, responsible, structured, and meticulous. The work requires you to be flexible, take initiative, and prioritize among your tasks. You are also someone who values good cooperation and contributes positive energy to the workgroup.

Working hours: Office hours.
