The Individual and Family Care Administration is in an exciting phase where the operations are changing and expanding to meet the needs of the residents of Borås. We are now looking for a secure and committed housing supporter for our open activity, Träffen.

Träffen is an open meeting place for people who have social problems, such as homelessness, mental health issues, or substance abuse problems. As a housing supporter, you will work to provide individually tailored support based on the visitor's wishes and needs. We work to promote independence, participation, and quality of life. At Träffen, you will work in a team with experienced colleagues where you will have a job that gives you a lot in return.

As a housing supporter, you will work, in collaboration with the visitors, to guide and support these individuals in contact with authorities, among others. In addition to support with authority contacts, visitors can play billiards, enjoy coffee, and much more with us. Träffen works closely with other operations in Borås City and also collaborates with non-profit organizations such as the Church of Sweden and the LP Foundation. The workgroup consists of three housing supporters and a unit manager.

As part of our development work, we strive to use Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other relevant evidence-based methods to a high extent. We also use the National Guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare in our work, as well as a systemic perspective. You will participate in the development work of the operations.

We are looking for someone with relevant upper secondary education for the position, as well as good knowledge and extensive experience working with people who have social problems and/or mental difficulties and/or substance abuse problems. We would like you to have training as a social pedagogue, systemic theoretical training, or training in MI. You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues but have no problem planning and carrying out activities on your own. You should have a good ability to create trusting relationships and act professionally in your role. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
