Business Architect
Svenska kraftnät is currently expanding Sweden's electricity grid at a historic pace to enable the electrification of society as a whole. To manage the rapidly growing project activities, we need to strengthen our digital foundation. As a business architect, you will play a key role in addressing our digitalization debt and creating structure, context, and sustainable solutions that make a real difference for the projects and for Sweden's future electricity system.
About the position
Sweden is in the midst of the largest electrification journey in modern times. To meet climate change goals, the needs of industry, and ensure a reliable electricity system for the entire country, Svenska kraftnät is in a strong growth phase. We are expanding the transmission network at a pace we have never done before, and to succeed, we need to become even better digitally.
As a business architect, you will have a central and influential role in ensuring that new IT solutions truly meet the needs of the business and that processes, information, and systems are interconnected in a long-term sustainable holistic perspective. You will work within the domain of Facility Projects and Planning, where you, together with colleagues, support the projects that expand Sweden's electricity grid.
The role spans both strategic and operational levels. You will work broadly, shift perspectives, and make a difference on several levels within the organization.
Your responsibilities include:
- operationally supporting needs analysis and requirements specification, as well as translating the business needs into solutions. This includes current state and target architecture descriptions at both a high-level and detailed level, as well as coordination with the Network division's target architecture and principles
- developing strategic and long-term plans for IT support within the Facility Projects and Planning area, and ensuring that development aligns with the business needs, target architecture, and a cohesive development of processes, information, and systems. This is done in close collaboration with management and development leaders, strategic business architects, IT architects, information managers, and product owners.
As a business architect, you will belong to the Processes and Tools unit, which has a collective responsibility for portfolio planning, development, and management of system support, as well as ensuring that the governance model and processes work together effectively. The unit is also responsible for establishing methods that ensure systematic feedback from projects to line operations.
With us, you will become an important cog in the machinery that ensures the light stays on every day. By creating the right digital conditions for projects that expand Sweden's transmission network, you contribute directly to a robust, secure, and future-proof electricity system.
About you
Essential requirements:
We are looking for someone who is ready to take initiative and help where needed, who sets goals and works ambitiously to achieve them, and does what is necessary for a good result. You solve problems without losing sight of long-term strategies and see logic in complex environments. We value a good ability to structure, organize, and prioritize. Since this is a role with many varied contact points, we see that you need to easily create new relationships and have the ability to communicate pedagogically with different target groups.
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Furthermore, you have a degree as a civil engineer or system scientist, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent.
You also have experience in:
- several years of experience working at the intersection of IT and business, such as leading and driving work with needs analysis, requirements analysis, and recommendations for IT solutions
- at least 5 years of experience in IT, information, or business architecture
- good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience in:
- change and digitalization work in large organizations
- experience in modeling processes and information as well as developing capability maps
- certification in business or IT architecture, TOGAF Foundation, Sparx EA, or equivalent frameworks or tools
- experience in IT governance such as Pm3's governance model or DAMA for information governance.
