About the Role and Your Responsibilities

Working in social psychiatry means being a respectful, social, and pedagogical support for people with mental disabilities.

By creating safety, structure, and continuity, you contribute to supporting the user in their recovery process.

At Fäladstorget group home, the target group is elderly, which means that needs may differ from other operations within social psychiatry. This requires both flexibility and the ability to meet individual needs with a person-centered approach.

In your role as a supervisor, you will work with the user to develop implementation plans, regularly follow up and evaluate interventions, and participate in coordinated individual plans (SIP). You will document continuously in the social journal according to current guidelines.

You collaborate broadly with relatives, guardians, and care neighbors to create a safe and cohesive care and support chain. Daily work is based on the user's individual implementation plan and includes personal care, support with hygiene, nursing, cleaning, cooking, and shopping. You motivate activity and engagement – both within and outside the residence – with the goal of breaking isolation and promoting participation.

As a supervisor, you have support in your work from a pedagogical coordinator, unit administrator, and an engaged team that works together to strengthen both users and colleagues.

We Are Looking For You

We are looking for someone with relevant education in the field, such as a YH education focused on social psychiatry, nursing assistant with specialist training in psychiatry, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

If you also have training in recovery-oriented approaches or experience working with CAN assessments, we see this as an advantage.

You need to have knowledge of social documentation, and if you have worked in the documentation system LifeCare, it is a merit.

We prefer that you have work experience in social psychiatry, but experience working with elderly people with psychiatric diagnoses is also highly valued. You appreciate nursing as part of the job. You have a good ability to collaborate with different stakeholders, create structure in your work, plan, and take responsibility. You are humble, clear, and have a genuine commitment to meeting people with respect and recognizing each individual's equal value.

About the Workplace

Fäladstorget 3D is a residence focused on the elderly target group. It is located in the northern parts of Lund. Work is conducted on three different floors, and we provide support to 19 users. The target group includes both individuals with mental disabilities and harmful use and dependence. Age-related somatic diseases also occur.

About the Field of Social Psychiatry

Social psychiatry encompasses several different operations, such as support in housing, employment, and work rehabilitation. The overarching goal is to create conditions for recovery and as independent a life as possible for people with mental disabilities – even in older age.

By offering flexible and individually tailored support, with high accessibility, participation, and co-determination, we strive to meet each individual's needs in a respectful and professional manner.

We are part of the labor market and social administration, where about 600 employees provide support to the residents of Lund who need social services.
