Description
Perstorp Municipality is looking for a committed and secure Child Investigator for the Social Services.
With us, you will work in a smaller municipality with short decision-making paths, close collaboration among colleagues, and good opportunities to make an impact. The position is a fixed-term full-time employment for the year 2026, with a possibility of extension. As a Child Investigator, you will work with authority exercises according to SoL and LVU and be responsible for investigating and following up on the needs of children and young people for support and protection. You will work closely with colleagues, families, and partners to create the best possible conditions for children and young people in the municipality.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, among others:
- Conducting child and youth investigations according to applicable legislation
- Conducting child interviews, home visits, and risk/protection assessments
- Establishing decisions, care plans, and implementation plans
- Documentation according to applicable laws and the organization's guidelines
- Collaboration with preschools, schools, healthcare, police, and other actors
- Follow-up of interventions and support for families
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work
- Good knowledge of social services legislation, especially SoL and LVU
- A valid driver's license (required for home visits and travel within the region)
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who has:
A strong communicative ability and confidence in meeting children, families, and partners. You should have the ability to work independently, structured, and with good professionalism.
Meritorious
Experience in authority exercises concerning children and youth is meritorious.
