Description
Do you want to work in a smaller municipality where you as an employee truly make a difference and feel close to both residents and colleagues? Perstorp Municipality is now seeking a committed and reliable Child Secretary for the Social Services.
The position is a fixed-term full-time employment for 2026 with the possibility of extension. As a Child Secretary, you will be an important part of our foster care and prevention team. You will have a clear focus on the child's rights, needs, and participation in all placement matters.
Responsibilities
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Follow-up of children placed in foster care according to SoL and LVU
- Conducting child interviews and documentation in our operational systems
- Planning and participating in meetings, care planning, and follow-ups
- Collaboration with foster homes, guardians, schools, healthcare, and other stakeholders
- Contributing to a safe, legally secure, and high-quality foster care
The work is varied, independent, and at the same time social with many points of collaboration.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Degree in Social Work
- Good knowledge of social services legislation, especially SoL and LVU
- Ability to build trusting relationships with children of various ages
- Good communication skills and documentation experience
- Driver's license (required for home visits and travel within the region)
Personal qualities
We are looking for someone who has:
The ability to work in a structured, independent manner with good judgment.
Meritorious
It is an advantage if you have previously worked with authority exercises, foster care, or other experience in the field of children and youth.
