Description
Do you want to work in a meaningful role where you support both children, families, and foster homes – and contribute to safe and well-functioning family relationships? The position combines two central areas: work with foster homes and family law investigations and support measures.
This is a role for you who appreciate variation, responsibility, and close collaboration, where both investigative work and relationship-building are important parts of everyday life.
Responsibilities
As a foster home secretary, you will work with:
- Recruitment, investigation, and training of foster homes
- Support and guidance to foster homes in everyday life
- Matching children and foster homes in close collaboration with child secretaries
- Documentation and follow-up of care
In family law, you will work with:
- Cooperation talks with parents according to SoL
- Investigations and assessments on behalf of the District Court
- Contract writing regarding custody, residence, and visitation
- Advice to parents in separation and conflict situations
- Collaboration with courts, preschools/schools, and other relevant activities
The combined position offers a varied and developing job where you can contribute both to children's safety and to strengthening parental cooperation.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in social work or another equivalent relevant higher education
- Experience in social work, preferably within foster care and/or family law
- Good knowledge of social services legislation, mainly SoL and FB
- Confidence in investigative and documentation work
Personal qualities
We are looking for you who have:
- Good communicative and relationship-building skills. And the ability to work in a structured, independent, and professional manner.
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have training in BBIC, experience in cooperation talks, or work with foster home investigations.
