Personal Assistant Wanted

Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/the municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

About the User

Our member lives alternately in Hässleholm and Bjärnum. He has a great interest in music, art, and painting, practices karate, and sometimes goes to the gym. He enjoys being in the company of others and appreciates a safe, clear, and engaged assistant who is attentive and creative.

About the Job

The work follows a fixed weekly schedule with shifts during morning, afternoon, evening, and night duty. There may also be overnight shifts (e.g., 15:00-08:00), as well as full-day shifts - for example, 08:00-18:00 or 08:00-22:00 once a week, usually on Thursdays. Working hours vary between weekdays and weekends.

As an assistant, you will be an important part of the user's daily life and support him in various situations, both at home and during leisure activities. The position involves creating structure, safety, and positive energy in his daily life.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support in daily tasks and activities
• Contribute with structure, safety, and clear communication
• Motivate and encourage his interests
• Be a calm and positive presence
• Work with low-arousal responses in all situations

We are looking for someone who:

• Is responsible, empathetic, and proactive
• Has previous experience as a personal assistant or similar (preferred)
• Has a B driver's license (preferred)
• Speaks and understands Swedish fluently
• Wants to make a real difference in another person's life
