Job Responsibilities
In your role as a care educator, you will provide pedagogical and everyday guidance to your colleagues in their work with users based on the LSS Act and the operations program of the support services administration, as well as the housing support with special services according to § 9 LSS.
As a care educator, you will:
- Be responsible for and lead the pedagogical work by being present and actively involved in the users' daily lives, ensuring that their individual needs and goals are recognized and that implementation plans are adjusted as needed.
- Support and educate staff in pedagogical methods and approaches that promote users' development and well-being.
- Participate in and lead concrete support measures, working side by side with staff to find the most effective and individualized solutions.
- Create a safe and stimulating environment for user development and well-being, where users can grow, feel understood, and experience success in their development.
In connection with a restructuring of the assignment, we want to highlight that some scheduled work may occur.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree (at least a bachelor's degree, 180 credits) in behavioral science, pedagogy, or other education deemed relevant by the employer.
Good knowledge of LSS and disabilities is a requirement, as well as at least 1 year of experience working in LSS operations. You have good computer skills and can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
Many users lack verbal communication, making experience with TAKK valuable in the work. Transfers using various technical rehabilitation aids are part of the daily work at both residences, and we therefore prefer candidates with knowledge and experience in this area. We also value experience in low-arousal approaches.
You have good self-awareness and a positive view of people. You are attentive, patient, and adaptable in your work with individuals, and you are good at supporting, guiding, and activating. Promoting people's development based on their conditions comes naturally to you. For you, it is equally important to collaborate in a team, both within and outside your own organization, as it is to be able to take your own initiatives with a focus on opportunities, solutions, and flexibility. You have a pedagogical perspective and are clear in your communication. A professional approach towards residents, relatives, colleagues, and other internal and external partners is highly valued.
Previous experience in pedagogical work, social documentation, and guiding others is meritorious.
A driving license (B) is a requirement.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
