JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are expanding the workgroup within financial assistance!

Due to a new working method focusing on long-term dependency on financial assistance, an expansion of the workgroup is now needed.

Within the Authority Unit for Adults & Integration, you will be one of 5 social workers for financial assistance. You will work closely with social workers for harmful use and dependency, domestic violence, as well as supervisors for housing, adult support interventions, and integration activities. The unit also conducts debt and budget counseling and administration. The unit consists of 12 employees with a broad mandate, which places high demands on flexibility and good collaboration skills. The workgroup has a strong sense of community characterized by job satisfaction and genuine professional pride!

As a social worker, you are responsible for processing applications for financial assistance according to the Social Services Act, including investigation, assessment, decision-making, and follow-up. The work involves mapping the individual's needs, establishing plans to strengthen the opportunities for self-sufficiency, and following up on activity requirements and interventions. The position entails close collaboration with internal and external actors such as the labor market unit, health care, and other relevant authorities. The assignment also includes providing advice and support to residents in contact with social services and contributing to the development of working methods and routines within the organization.

The workgroup has a solution-focused approach and is based on BiP (Employment Indicator Project), a Danish research project that has identified important indicators and interventions to help people with complex needs approach the labor market. You need to be prepared to make difficult decisions while also conducting client-centered social work and building relationships in the motivational work.

You make decisions in accordance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and delegation. Documentation is an important part of the work. We use the operational system Lifecare.

To ensure a safe start for you as a new employee, the introduction takes place according to an introduction plan with regular follow-up. We see competence development as a natural part of the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent, as well as experience in working with financial assistance. Experience with BiP is an advantage.

Since the unit's employees work closely together and may need to handle each other's tasks during absences, it is meritorious, but not a requirement, if you have experience in processing other adult cases according to the Social Services Act, such as in cases of domestic violence and LVM (The Care of Abusers Act).

Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing, as well as a good ability to collaborate both internally and externally, is required.

You are independent in your work and are prepared to take significant responsibility for your assignment. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt and think innovatively if the assignment requires it.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Before an employment offer is made, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
