Welcome to the Infant and Toddler Psychiatric Clinic in Trelleborg!

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) in the Malmö/Trelleborg area has over 130 employees and serves children and adolescents up to 18 years old and their families. We work across the entire city of Malmö as well as the municipalities of Trelleborg, Vellinge, and Svedala. Within our area, there are also three general psychiatric clinics, an eating disorder clinic, a neuropsychiatric clinic, enhanced outpatient care/FACT, and access to inpatient care via an emergency department and a care unit.

The Infant and Toddler Clinic in Trelleborg is an outpatient clinic for infant psychiatry focusing on attachment and interaction treatment. We see children aged zero to six years with various types of symptoms along with their parents. We also accept parents expecting a child if there is an identified prenatal attachment issue. At the clinic, we work from a parent and child perspective where various forms of psychotherapeutic approaches and competencies are represented. Our team consists of three staff members, including a psychologist and social workers. The unit also includes an infant and toddler clinic in Malmö, Viktoriagården, where an additional twelve staff members work. There, access to a special educator, nurse, doctor, and medical secretary is available.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming a social worker, preferably with experience in interaction work, for a six-month temporary position with the possibility of extension!

Your responsibilities include conducting qualified child psychiatric assessments and performing qualified interaction work with children under six years old together with their parents. Additionally, there will be psychotherapeutic family conversations, parent conversations, and group treatments. You will collaborate and plan interventions with colleagues to provide our patients with the best possible care. The role as a therapist is challenging, stimulating, and varied, offering the opportunity to work creatively with children and youth based on all diagnoses in child psychiatry in complex cases. The responsibilities also include collaboration with care neighbors.

We are a small team working cross-professionally in close collaboration. The working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply have a recognized degree in social work. We see it as a positive if you have a license as a health and medical care social worker and/or basic psychotherapeutic training. If you belong to a licensed professional group, language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are a requirement. For non-licensed professions, good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required. Experience in treatment work with infant and toddler families and knowledge of children's early development and attachment is meritorious. Furthermore, interaction competencies such as Marte Meo, Theraplay, or WWW treatment are advantageous, as well as training/experience in working with CPP or other trauma treatment aimed at small children. Competencies that are also of interest to us include experience working in groups with COS-P, Cool Kids, COPE, and with diagnostics for small children in DC0-5.
