The Reception Unit

The Reception Unit is the gateway to social services and our outward face. We are available from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays and work to receive and assess all new cases related to social services. We act in emergencies, provide advice and support to citizens, and write, make decisions, and document. The cases that come to us cover the entire scope of social services and may include children and young people at risk, harmful use and addiction, financial assistance, housing issues, social psychiatry, and support for relatives.

We offer external supervision and flexible working hours. Our working methods are continuously developed to meet the needs of Lund's residents in the best way, and we hope you want to help us become even better.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a social worker with broad experience and knowledge of social services' responsibilities who wants to work with us. You should enjoy a fast-paced work environment. You will work with authority decisions and advice, and your role is characterized by many contact points and relationships with both citizens, your own unit, and other colleagues within the social services. The Reception Unit has an increased opportunity for a holistic perspective in social services cases and acts as the link inward in the organization. We value a well-structured working method, a high level of knowledge, and an active development climate.

We are looking for someone who

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in social services. We prefer that you have worked with several aspects of the social work profession and that you are knowledgeable and up-to-date regarding relevant legislation and the various functions of society at large. You have a pleasant demeanor, good collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate. You are challenged by finding new solutions for our clients, are confident in your work role, and can independently make assessments. You have a good ability to express yourself in both writing and speech, and we prefer that you have experience working with Procapita/Lifecare.

The position is a temporary position for 2026. Immediate start.
