Description

We are looking for an engaged and empathetic LSS Case Officer for a full-time position in our social services in Perstorp.

As an LSS Case Officer, you will work with the processing of services according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) — with the possibility of services according to the Social Services Act (SoL) when needed. Your contribution is central to strengthening the individual's opportunities for an independent, safe, and meaningful life.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include, among others:

• Receiving and assessing applications for support and services, conducting needs assessments, and gathering relevant information.
• Evaluating and making decisions on services according to LSS (and SoL when needed) based on legislation and the municipality's guidelines.
• Formulating decision texts, writing reports and documentation with clarity and precision.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as healthcare, schools, housing, relatives, and providers to ensure that services meet the individual's needs.
• Participating in collaboration meetings, SIP meetings, and other cooperative structures as needed.
• Following up on approved services, evaluating needs over time, and conducting reassessments when necessary.
• Assisting in developing routines and improvement work within LSS case processing to enhance quality and safety for users.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or equivalent education in social work, behavioral science, or law — alternatively relevant experience in authority work within LSS/SoL.
• Good communication skills and documentation experience.
• The ability to analyze and make well-founded decisions — with a good legal understanding of applicable legislation.
• Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, and the ability to adapt language depending on the audience (users, relatives, partners).
