About the organization:
Kårsta School and Kårsta Preschool are part of the Kårsta Lindholmen principal area together with Gustav Vasaskolan and Lindholmen Preschool. Kårsta School is located in the northern parts of Vallentuna Municipality, near Norrtälje. The school is situated in a calm and rural environment with a large and lovely schoolyard next to forest and lake, providing us with many opportunities for activities and play. The school has about 70 students from preschool to grade 6.
Our goal is a school for everyone, where everyone feels good, is motivated, and has a desire to learn. Knowledge, safety, and community show us the way and are dependent on each other.
Job Responsibilities:
You provide targeted individual instruction to students with special needs. Together with the principal, you are responsible for the special education activities, providing special educational support and guidance to staff, as well as overseeing our studio activities. Furthermore, you conduct class/group observations and assessments. You complete educational investigations in mathematics, reading, and writing (referrals). Accessible learning for all students is your starting point, and you actively work with the school's core values together with the educators.
Qualifications:
- It is an advantage if you are a licensed primary school teacher with special education or special educator training.
- You have special educational knowledge and experience in early work with reading and writing learning, preferably from preschool to grade 1.
- You have experience in documentation from writing action programs and educational assessments.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
