Together, we are responsible for approximately 8000 children and students and have around 1000 employees. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest educational company in the Nordic region, since 2008.

Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. We achieve this through our unique pedagogical direction based on three components: conscious learning, courageous culture, and clear structure.

We are looking for someone who wants to strengthen our student health work by contributing special educational expertise at all levels – from concrete learning situations in the classroom to the school's strategic development. The school is characterized by high quality in teaching and a safe and stimulating learning environment for all our students. We take pride in our high qualifications among our teachers and our dedicated work with students' development, both academically and socially.

As a special educator at Vittra Östertälje, you will work closely with students, teachers, guardians, the student health team, and the principal to create accessible learning environments and support students' goal achievement. The work includes mapping learning environments, identifying obstacles, and proposing measures in physical, pedagogical, and social environments. You will participate in pedagogical investigations and the work with action programs, lead guidance sessions for staff, and disseminate current research and proven experience in special education. Furthermore, you will contribute your perspective in student health meetings and school development, document and evaluate interventions, and present analyses and improvement proposals to management and work teams.

Qualifications

You have a degree as a special educator or special teacher, preferably with a deep interest and knowledge in NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) and early reading and writing development. You have a good ability and experience in leading colleagues in the special educational field. You also possess strong analytical and communicative skills; you are accustomed to working both independently and in close collaboration with teachers. You keep up to date with current world knowledge and have an interest in research-based school development.
