Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) is a leading independent school group with academic results far above average and a diverse and energetic staff. Teaching is in both Swedish and English, and the hallways are bilingual. The language of meetings and communication amongst the staff is English.

Music Teacher (Grades 4–9) - with the possibility to teach additional subjects

Internationella Engelska Skolan Hässelby is looking for a qualified and dedicated music teacher for grades 4-9. The position is a full-time contract with a six-month probation period that will then transition into a permanent position. There is also the possibility to combine music teaching with another subject depending on your qualifications and the school's needs.

We are looking for someone who is positive, responsible, and enjoys working in an international context where collaboration and high ambitions are a natural part of everyday life. You are passionate about creating inspiring and structured lessons and are also a clear and secure adult who wants to make a difference, both in and outside the classroom.

We expect you to:

  • Have a teaching license for music, or be a qualified teacher with an international degree.
  • Be able to teach both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.
  • Be open to teaching another subject, based on the school's needs and your competence.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom climate.
  • Monitor students' development and adapt teaching as needed.
  • Provide professional mentorship and contribute to the school's core values. Contribute to order, safety, and study peace in line with the school's code of conduct.

The position also includes mentorship for a group of students.

Employment form:

  • Full-time contract.
  • 100% - If a lower employment rate is desired, this can be negotiated.
  • Probation period of 6 months with the possibility of a permanent position.
