Duvboskolan is a popular municipal F-6 school with approximately 370 students.

Duvboskolan is an F-6 school with roots dating back to the early 1900s. Today, we have about 370 students, divided into two parallel classes per grade. The school has around 40 staff members and four after-school departments. Students in grades 4-6 and the after-school club have their facilities at Rissne ängar.

The school's three prioritized development areas for the school year 25/26 are:

• Increased goal achievement for all students – with a particular focus on boys' results
• Developing a clear and coherent structure for equitable teaching, assessment, and pedagogical activities in F-6
• Developing a safe, active, and structured outdoor environment during breaks and leisure time that promotes participation and movement for all students in F-6

Before VT 26, we will initiate a special initiative - cooperative learning that will permeate our entire operation from an F-6 perspective.

We are now looking for a licensed, engaged special teacher for grades 4-6 with particular expertise in mathematics as our skilled special teacher is retiring. You will be an important part of our special education team and contribute to providing all students with the right support to reach their full potential.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience in special education at the middle school level. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

About the Position

As a special teacher at our school, you will:

• Provide special support to students with various needs, primarily in mathematics but also in other subjects.
• Collaborate with mentors, student health services, other staff, and guardians
• Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching
• Contribute to the development of learning environments that promote students' learning and safety
• Be part of our preventive and health-promoting student health work

In your role as a special teacher, you are an important adult for our students. Your student focus is clear and reflected in your approach in everyday life. You follow up with mentors on students' development - both academically and socially. You create good structure and have clear routines.

You are independent in your teaching and have a positive attitude, understand the importance of collaboration, and have an inclusive perspective. You are resilient, flexible, and can handle rapid changes in everyday life.

You have a good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, as well as good computer skills.
