Description of the Organization

Our joint project in Haninge municipality's preschools, Together through the World, has now moved into the next phase, and an exciting effort gains new collective strength from the voices of 1000 educators.

"We create the places, and the places create us." Together with the children, we shape and reformulate our educational environments.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a preschool teacher for 100% with departmental responsibility in one department.

Two preschool teachers at 75% who work in one department together with another preschool teacher who already has departmental responsibility.

We are now seeking a temporary preschool teacher until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. You who apply want to work in a structured, strategic, and long-term manner to shape a developing and learning preschool operation. You have both the ability and courage to be challenged and to challenge your colleagues in the work with the children. You are a driving preschool teacher who focuses on the children's development in your work team and also drives development work across the entire preschool with colleagues.

Your Mission

Together with your team, you will create, further develop, and implement inspiring teaching and education for the children that benefits all children's curiosity and desire to play, explore, and learn. This is in harmony with the intentions of the curriculum and approaches based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

As a preschool teacher, you lead your team to find effective teaching methods where play and creativity have ample space both indoors and outdoors. You create opportunities for children's discovery, exploration, experimentation, and creation. You use pedagogical documentation as a basis for reflection and make the operation visible with its help. You communicate with the children's guardians and continuously update the children's learning logs on the UNIKUM platform. You value meetings between different languages, cultures, and people and see families as an important resource in daily work. You participate in our pedagogical forums and are part of our development group with all our preschool teachers.

Your Qualifications

• Qualified preschool teacher
• Experience working as a preschool teacher or if you are newly graduated, experience working in preschool before your preschool teacher education
• Very good leadership skills
• Familiar with the intentions of the preschool curriculum and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
• Familiar with ICT and its possibilities in pedagogical work
• Can express yourself well in speech and writing

Meritorious

• Experience working with language development in multicultural contexts

Your Competence

You have good collaboration skills, are curious and creative to develop learning with children and colleagues. You have experience leading both work teams and child groups as a preschool teacher. You are communicative, take initiative for holistic development, and are knowledgeable about diversity issues and language development approaches.
