The Nature Schools Axevalla Horse Center, Svenljunga, Sötåsen, Uddetorp, and the Biological Vocational College serve as competence centers for the growth and development of the green industries. Together with industry and researchers, the administration drives energy projects and experimental activities at the forefront in the schools. Description

At Sötåsen outside Töreboda, you will find a center for ecological and sustainable nature management. Here, we run an organic and KRAV-certified farm with the help of a solid fleet of machinery and the latest technology for sustainable crop production. The school cultivates 260 hectares of arable land, 115 hectares of its own forest, and organic garden cultivation. The farm has 65 dairy cows, 60 young stock, 45 ewes with lambs, and 40 sows with piglets. Here at Sötåsen, you can study the Nature Management Program with a focus on agriculture, animals, and gardening. The school also has an adapted high school and adult education programs.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in crop production and agricultural machinery across all school forms offered at the school, as well as responsibility and maintenance of the school's facilities.
• You will collaborate with other teachers in the work team and at the school.
• You will be involved in the school's continued development and the evolution of education.
• You will participate in the practical work with crop production at Sötåsen.

The vocational teacher role gives you a unique opportunity to combine professional skills with pedagogical work. You become an important person in creating good conditions for students' future lives, where our high expectations of students are a clear success factor.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is educated as an agricultural engineer, agronomist, agrotechnician, or has equivalent education and practical experience in agriculture. You should have a great interest in teaching within the nature management program and work to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their conditions. You are flexible, goal-oriented, and take the initiative to collaborate with colleagues. You will be part of a work team where different subject combinations meet. We place great emphasis on your ability to work interdisciplinary so that students experience the education as a whole.

Driving license B for manual transmission. We place great importance on personal suitability.

Desirable Qualifications

• Pedagogical education and experience in teaching.
• Knowledge in economics.

Conditions

Temporary position with 100% employment rate, holiday service with the possibility of extension. Start date on February 1 or by agreement.
