Vocational Teacher for the Child and Recreation Program, Almåsgymnasiet

The position consists of teaching in the apprenticeship program within the vocational subjects of the Child and Recreation Program, focusing on the profile of Educational and Social Leadership with courses such as Social Work, Educational Leadership, and Children’s Learning and Growth.

The position includes being a class teacher, which means you engage extra with the students in the class, follow up on absences, participate in student welfare work, maintain parent contacts, conduct development talks, etc.

As a teacher at Almåsgymnasiet, you create conditions for learning, guide the student towards the goals, and participate in fostering the student into a good citizen. You continuously work on assessing goal fulfillment and communicate this with the student.

The teaching is planned, implemented, and followed up from a formative perspective. Collaboration with other teachers both in subject groups and program teams is a given.

A vocational teacher's degree with authorization in the vocational subjects of the Child and Recreation Program is desirable. Other teaching degrees, as well as professional experience in relevant educational and social activities, are meritorious.

You easily adapt to changing circumstances, identify areas for development, and contribute to solutions through ideas, initiatives, and flexibility. You express a positive attitude and act in accordance with decisions made for the benefit of the entire operation.

You are active and participate in the work of developing the school operations together with teaching colleagues, school management, and other staff.

You are well acquainted with digital technology and use it as a natural tool in your work.
