The preschools Förstamajgatan 28 and Aprilgatan 2B are on an exciting development journey towards high quality and equity. Here, we work closely together in a context led by two principals, a development educator, and a special educator – with common goals and collegial learning in focus. The units are also working on developing a comprehensive pedagogical idea with associated positions on what children in our activities should have the right to.

A prioritized common area within Team Kortedala is our development work regarding our outdoor environments where we have the vision: “From traditional playground to pedagogical learning space.” This is a work where we have come different distances, but where our direction is clear.

Our pedagogy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and we work from a project-oriented approach where children's thoughts, interests, and questions guide learning. With the support of pedagogical documentation, we make learning processes visible and create direction forward. All children should have the opportunity to express themselves through different languages and abilities in rich and accessible learning environments.

We have taken a stand for our 5 chosen T's and actively work to create learning environments that are: Safe, Clear, Permissive, Appealing, Accessible. We start from a listening pedagogy where children's participation and influence are taken seriously – in both the small and the large.

We actively work with responsibilities and roles as we are keen to utilize everyone's competence - everyone who works with us should feel that they are an important part of our operations and that their competence is valued. Tasks we have today, in addition to regular childcare and preschool teacher assignments, include outdoor educator, meal educator, and welcome educator.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed preschool teacher with the ability to create good collaborations and relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You are a confident leader and a good role model for both children and adults, with the ability to create a positive and developing environment where children can grow at their own pace.

You can plan, implement, document, and analyze the operations according to the preschool curriculum and other governing documents. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing, and are comfortable using digital tools in your work.

Meritorious:

• Pedagogista or atelierista competence
• Experience of language-developing working methods
• Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, TAKK, and AKK
• Previous work with project-oriented teaching

We are responsible for education and care for about 25,000 children in nearly 350 municipal preschools. The administration has about 7,000 employees distributed across approximately 75 professions. Together we work towards the same goal - to develop a fun, safe, and educational preschool for all children in Gothenburg.
