Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases
We are Uppsala University Hospital – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer services to two million people in Central Sweden. Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. With us, you will experience both tough challenges and fantastic events, in a strong community with colleagues. See parts of our reality in our photo exhibition; akademiskafotoutstallning.se (http://akademiskafotoutstallning.se). Welcome with your application!
Our Operations
The Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions affecting the ears, nose, sinuses, oral cavity, upper airways, as well as hearing and balance. We are primarily a surgical department with both planned and emergency services. The surgery includes both basic ear-nose-throat surgery and more extensive tumor surgery in the head and neck area.
We provide care to patients from seven regions in Central Sweden and national highly specialized care in certain areas to patients from all over Sweden. The complex mission creates good conditions for our employees and the operation to develop.
Your Mission
The position includes work in the ward, outpatient clinic, and surgery, as well as participation in primary on-call (day and night shifts). The clinic is research-active, and there are good opportunities to participate in and develop research in various areas of the operation. You will have the opportunity to grow through stimulating meetings with colleagues and patients, as well as through mentoring medical students. Together, we create a challenging and developing workplace where freedom under responsibility is a natural part.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for specialist physicians with specialist competence in ear, nose, and throat diseases. Experience and interest in education, research, and medical development work are meritorious.
Your Competence
You are a flexible person who easily adapts to changing circumstances and often sees opportunities rather than obstacles. You are responsible, structured, and attentive, with the ability to see your part in a holistic perspective. You have good collaboration skills and appreciate close cooperation with other professional categories.
We Offer
We offer a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. Salary according to agreement. With us, you will receive benefits that make a difference; read about the benefits here (https://regionuppsala.se/jobba-hos-oss/bli-var-nya-kollega/formaner/).
