Department of Surgery

We have about 400 employees distributed across outpatient clinics, wards, and seven medical sections. A large part of our care consists of national and regional patients referred for highly specialized investigations and treatments. We are a research-intensive clinic in close collaboration with Uppsala University.

Esophagus and Stomach Section

The operations include investigation and treatment of surgical diseases of the esophagus and stomach. We provide highly specialized cancer care for the Central Sweden region, as well as reflux and obesity surgery in larger volumes.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a relatively newly qualified specialist in surgery and want to develop within advanced laparoscopic surgery. We would like you to be interested in research and teaching. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, as you will become an important part of our team.

We Offer

A full-time temporary position for 6 months starting in June 2026, with a great opportunity for permanent employment later. Salary and start date according to agreement. On-call and standby duties are included.
