Psychological Institution is Hiring Research Assistant
The Psychological Institution is a creative and international workplace for education and research with about 200 employees.
Over 1000 individuals study in our various programs, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral levels, including psychology programs, psychotherapy programs, and specialist training.
We also conduct highly successful research in several areas, including work and organizational psychology, psychophysics and perception, stress, biological psychology, clinical psychology, cognition, social psychology, and developmental psychology. The institution has its own psychological clinic for research and education with approximately 4000 visits per year.

Job Responsibilities
The Sensory Cognitive Interaction Laboratory (SCI-LAB) is a leading research group that includes dozens of employees and is led by Professor Jonas Olofsson. We are seeking a research assistant with programming skills for a project on spatial memory. In the project, participants will remember locations for smell, sound, or image in a virtual reality environment. The main tasks of the research assistant are to assist in the further development of the existing VR software. In addition to the tasks related to memory game development, other programming-related tasks in other projects in the lab will be included.
Qualifications
We are looking for applicants with a bachelor's degree in game development. You should have good knowledge of programming and be interested in working within the framework of perception research. It is important that you are well-organized, meticulous, and work well as part of a team. We are looking for someone with a background in data and systems science related to programming (C#, C++, Blueprint), game design (Unity, Unreal Engine), and basic software documentation (e.g., Git, Github, Fork). The person should have good social skills, be engaged in their work, and be able to work independently. Documented experience in game development is an advantage for the position. It is crucial in the position to be able to find practical solutions to complex problems.
About the Position
The position is part-time (50%) and is limited to six months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date is negotiable.
