At the Education Administration in Järfälla Municipality, around 3,100 employees work in one of our 39 preschools, 22 schools, a high school, adult education, and central administration. Herrestaskolan opened its doors in January 2016 and today offers a modern and inspiring learning environment for approximately 400 students in grades F–6. Starting from the autumn term of 2023, a special needs school will also be included in the operations. The school is located in the heart of Barkarby, beautifully surrounded by green areas and with good transportation links.

The building is environmentally certified, constructed of solid wood, and designed to focus on students' well-being, learning, and future. We take pride in our school environment, which includes a full-sized sports hall, a dedicated kitchen, and a well-equipped playground.

Our school is characterized by high teacher competence and a complete student health team, which together contribute to a safe and developing school environment. Here, there is an engaged staff group that works together to ensure that every student grows and develops – both academically and socially.

We promote collegial learning, and two of our focus areas are reading development and teaching quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

About the position:

We are looking for an engaged and positive substitute teacher in physical education for grades 2-6. You will plan, implement, and evaluate lessons that promote joy of movement, collaboration, and motor development among students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a teaching license or equivalent experience/education in physical education.
• Familiar with the Curriculum for the Compulsory School (Lgr22)

Meritorious:

• Experience in grading
• Experience in swimming instruction/swimming school
• Experience in teaching students in special needs education
