About the Company and the Position

Klara Consulting (https://klaraconsulting.se/) is a leading player in financial services, specializing in accounting, payroll administration, auditing, and consulting. With a strong foothold in the industry and a broad customer base, we offer tailored solutions to help our clients streamline their financial processes and focus on their core business. We are a growing group with approximately 550 employees and offices across the country.

Our atmosphere is characterized by engagement, collaboration, and a forward-thinking spirit. Our culture is built on trust, knowledge, and joy as we support and help each other while ensuring we have fun along the way. Our Gothenburg office is in the midst of an exciting development journey. We have just brought together two smaller units under one roof, creating a larger and even more delightful office. Here, you will meet a social and cheerful team of around 17 people who are happy to share both laughter and comments about the Gothenburg weather.

We are now looking for an engaged and driven Group Manager who wants to become an important part of our continued journey. In this role, you will lead a team of 7 colleagues while also working operationally as a client manager accountant. Do you have experience as an accountant and see a managerial role as your next career step? Then this is a perfect opportunity for you, where you will get a combination of both!

You will be offered:

  • A stable yet growing workplace that invests in you and your professional development
  • Good benefits, enjoyable team activities, and a pleasant office in central Gothenburg
  • A good balance between work and leisure, as well as encouragement for wellness activities and a healthy lifestyle

Job Responsibilities

In your role as Group Manager, you will have an important leadership role that includes personnel responsibility for a group of about 7 people, where you will closely collaborate with the office manager and another group manager. Here, you will have the chance to apply your leadership skills, manage personnel issues, and help employees reach new heights while also working operationally as a client manager accountant.

As a group manager, you will for example:

  • Support employees in their development through continuous competency goals and development discussions
  • Conduct salary discussions and be responsible for the group's salary review together with the office manager
  • Proactively work to improve processes and routines together with other key individuals
  • Be the team's security, work for a good working environment, and handle any personnel issues within the team

As a client manager accountant, you will for example:

  • Have overall responsibility for your own clients
  • Prepare annual financial statements, annual reports, and tax returns
  • Be responsible for consulting in accounting and tax matters
  • Manage onboarding with new clients, analyze needs, and propose a way forward
  • Support and coach junior colleagues responsible for ongoing accounting

Who are you?

To thrive in this role, we believe you are communicative, pedagogical, and have a natural drive. You are social and engaged, while also being empathetic and attentive with a focus on helping your employees grow and reach their full potential. You work in a structured and goal-oriented manner, are unpretentious when the situation requires it, and have a good sense of service. Results and quality are important to you, and you always strive to provide well-founded answers to both clients and colleagues.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong interest in leadership, personnel, and personnel issues
  • Has at least 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Has good experience in qualified accounting and independently handles financial statements, annual reports, and income tax returns for both companies and sole proprietorships
  • Speaks and writes Swedish fluently and has a good command of English
  • Has good knowledge of Fortnox
  • Has previously worked in an accounting or auditing firm

It is an extra merit if you:

  • Have experience in leadership, formally or informally
