Kolarängen Preschool belongs to the Älta principal area located in the picturesque Älta. The principal area consists of three primary schools, six preschools, and one resource school. We are looking for a preschool teacher for a full-time substitute position during VT -26 starting in January.

Your Assignment

In your role, you will be the team leader preschool teacher in a 4-5 year group, with 24 children together with three childcare workers where you lead the educational work and create an environment that is safe, fun, and educational for each child. The children's participation and influence are a natural part of everyday life, and you work to offer both care and stimulation that promotes their development and learning.

Together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate the activities based on the goals of the curriculum. You will work project-oriented and document children's learning processes in a common template for systematic quality work based on the team's common reflection and analysis. You will actively participate in pedagogical documentation and development work, where we currently have a special focus on children's language development as well as movement and motor skills.

The assignment also includes onboarding, participation in project work, involvement in parent meetings, pedagogical conversations, daily contact with guardians, as well as opening and closing the preschool. At the preschool, we have close collaboration between the teams, and you will contribute your skills and creativity in a preschool that values engagement and quality.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• preschool teacher certification
• experience working in preschool or preschool class
• experience and good knowledge of pedagogical documentation
• experience in actively driving the preschool's development and quality work forward
• knowledge of the curriculum's content and understanding of how it can be implemented in practice
• good digital competence
• good ability to express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you also have:

• pedagogical competence in learning environments
• experience working with language-promoting methods
• knowledge of and experience with NPF diagnoses

Furthermore, you have a strong focus on quality and work based on the preschool's curriculum, with the goal of coordinating and driving the work forward as well as creating a common understanding of the framework and goals of the activities. You ensure that pedagogical goals and the preschool's values permeate the daily work, and that the team works in the same direction. All this to create a meaningful, safe, and inclusive environment where each child has the best possible conditions to develop based on their needs and abilities.

We Offer

As a preschool teacher at Kolarängen Preschool, we offer you a safe and stable preschool with openness to develop and engaged educators as colleagues. We are a small preschool with space for 55 children distributed across three departments and collaborate closely with each other. The preschool is nestled in the Kolarängen residential area, with a large and inviting yard. Outdoor activities are a significant part of the operations, and the proximity to the forest makes it easy to integrate outdoor activities into the program. In the kitchen, a chef prepares all meals from scratch. Children's language development as well as movement and motor skills are the prioritized areas for the school year. We work to ensure equity among the preschools in the Älta principal area and therefore have joint training and APT with the other six preschools in the principal area.
