About the organization

We are looking for a Middle School Teacher, focused on English and Social Studies, with a vision for the future of learning and with students at the center. Karlslund School is a well-functioning F-9 school in central Vallentuna with proximity to good communication links. Approximately 500 students attend the school. You will come to a culture where innovation is encouraged, and we are happy to support you through your development projects with colleagues. Karlslund School is Erasmus+ accredited and conducts several exchanges with students and teachers each year. Vallentuna music classes are run by Karlslund School and are an exciting culture that characterizes the school unit.

At our school, we work with a trust-based and distributed leadership, where your competence and engagement are crucial for our students' success and the overall development of the school. We are looking for someone who, with a sharp pedagogical eye, sees the potential in every student and is driven to develop teaching in accordance with current research and proven experience.

Job Responsibilities:

As an English and Social Studies teacher for grades 4-6, you will be responsible for creating accessible and engaging teaching that promotes all students' learning and development. You are a key player in our work team, where we share responsibility and actively collaborate to give our students the best possible conditions.

You are familiar with the curriculum's purpose, goals, and central content, but your pedagogical work extends beyond traditional frameworks. You plan, implement, and systematically evaluate your teaching with a proactive approach, always aiming to make the subject content accessible in innovative and effective ways.

In your mentoring role, you, together with your work team, are an important source of security and support for a group of students. You build strong and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and act as a clear and structured leader in the classroom.

As a teacher with us, you have a progressive view of school development and are passionate about constantly improving your own practice. You are a good communicator and have a talent for trust-based leadership, taking great responsibility for your own and the school's success. Furthermore, you have a good ability to identify, analyze, and help remove obstacles and causes of difficulties in teaching and learning environments.

Qualifications:

• You are a certified teacher.
• You have experience teaching in primary school.
• You have excellent communication skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
