The mission for Swimming, Sports, and Exercise is to create opportunities for Botkyrka residents to engage and enrich their lives through sports associations, spontaneous sports, outdoor activities, and exercise. The operational area consists of the units Swimming and Racket Hall, Sports Operations, and Sports and Associations.

The Swimming and Racket Hall unit currently consists of two swimming pools, Storvretsbadet and Fittjabadet, as well as a racket hall where padel, badminton, tennis, table tennis, squash, and pickleball can be practiced. About 20 people work within the unit on core issues such as swimming proficiency and creating a wide range of activities to strengthen public health, both inside and outside the facility's walls. We take responsibility for continuously conducting environmental analyses to provide Botkyrka residents with the best the market can offer in our field. The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for a swimming attendant who wants to contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment in our swimming pools.

In this role, you will meet many different visitors and work to provide them with a positive experience during their visit with us.

As a swimming attendant, you provide service to visitors, ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and pleasant. You work closely with your colleagues and are part of a team that together creates a safe and welcoming environment for the residents of Botkyrka. The work is varied and involves both practical and service-oriented tasks.

Your main responsibilities:

• Swimming lessons for children and adults for private individuals
• Swimming instruction for school classes of varying ages
• Providing service and support to visitors in the facility
• Cleaning
• Contributing to safety and security.

The position involves shift work; you will work at both Fittjabadet and Storvretsbadet, and you are passionate about teaching visitors of all ages how to swim.

You Who Are Applying to Us

You have education and experience in swimming instruction and working in a swimming facility. You feel confident leading groups both on land and in water and have experience instructing children and adults. You have also worked in a service-oriented environment where you meet many different visitors and handle inquiries in both the reception and swimming hall.

Other Requirements:

• Have education as a swimming instructor and have also worked with this.
• Have training in lifeguarding.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Swedish language skills necessary to give instructions, inform, and answer questions from visitors.
• Additional language skills that facilitate communication with visitors from different language backgrounds.
• Are a certified water aerobics instructor.
• Have worked with the BRP cash register system.

In the role of swimming attendant, you will meet many different visitors and need to create safety, order, and a professional approach in the facility. You collaborate closely with your colleagues, find it easy to work together, and can work under sometimes stressful conditions when the pace is high. The work involves alternating between swimming instruction, service, and practical tasks, which means you need to be structured, meticulous, and confident in taking responsibility in everyday life.

You are communicative and clear when instructing groups or individual visitors. You easily establish contact and adapt your approach according to the situation and needs. You take the initiative when something needs to be addressed and contribute to creating a safe, active, and welcoming environment for everyone using our facilities.
