Your Mission

In the role of a teacher, you will teach students in grades 7-9 in mathematics and science.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in your subjects based on the curriculum. You adapt the teaching according to the students' needs, interests, and conditions. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The assignment also includes mentorship. You are responsible for creating trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. To create the right conditions for the students, close collaboration with other teachers, school management, the student health team, and, if necessary, the special education team is required.

You belong to the upper secondary work team and work closely with subject colleagues in mathematics and science. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work. There is room to influence and develop the teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.

Your Experience

For this position, you need to have:

• teaching certification with subject competence for grades 7-9 in mathematics and science
• good digital competence with experience in working with digital pedagogical tools
• the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you also have:

• experience working as a teacher
• experience teaching students in grades 7-9
• subject competence for grades 7-9 in other subjects than mathematics and science, preferably technology
• experience in mentorship
• experience working with students in need of extra adaptations and special support.

In August, we moved into a brand new school building with modern and welcoming learning environments, which we share with Ektorps adapted primary school and Skuru-Duvnäs resource school.
